Yeteqolefebet-Qulf

The book is a novel. The story’s setting alternates between Ethiopia and the United States. The title ‘yeteqolefebet qulf’ has two meanings: ‘the locking key’ and ‘the locked-in-key’. The first refers to the story storyline, whilst the second is related to the book’s deeper plot. The human mind is this ‘locked-in-key’. Only by freeing the mind from its bonds can one’s life or a nation be transformed. The obstacles and adventures of obtaining this key are told in the book through a complex plot. It discusses both current and historical problems of importance in Ethiopia. It’s written in Amharic.
