Fikremarkos Desta gained acclaim for his ethnographic novels centered on the indigenous communities of southwestern Ethiopia. Transitioning from a background in chemistry at Addis Ababa University, he embarked on a successful writing career. His trilogy, exploring the intricacies of Hamar, Kwegu, and Arbore societies, has received widespread praise.
And now he has brought his wonderful book “Yemisam Terara”, “የሚሳም ተራራ” which means “Kissable Mountain”, to his readers who have been eagerly waiting for years. In his autobiography, Fikremarkos narrates his life journey in a dramatic and beautiful language and shares his flashbacks (from Ethiopia to America) without missing a beat.
