Meseret Kinfe Haile

Meseret Kinfe Haile is an Ethiopian poet and author best known for her poetry collection titled Ye Tikur Enat Negn (የጥቁር እናት ነኝ  “I am the Mother of Black”). Her work focuses heavily on themes of motherhood, personal endurance, identity, and social awareness.

Ye Tikur Enat Negn: This poetry collection was officially launched on July 8, 2022, at the Capital Hotel in Addis Ababa, in an event attended by several prominent Ethiopian poets and authors.

Philanthropic Impact: Proving her commitment to social causes, Meseret Kinfe Haile donated all proceeds from her book launch event to the Nehemiah Autism Center, an organization based in Ethiopia that supports autistic children and their families.
